Bastard Ex-Boyfriends
Laydees and Gennulmun,
Guess what kind of mood I am in today? 3 guesses, and the first two don't count.
Ladies, listen up to what I'm gonna tell you. Listen up & listen in. Yes, that means you.
When you pick a guy, whether you wanna marry him, tease him, roll in the hay with him, f**k him, whatever, for heaven's sake pick one without issues!!! This is for your own good. Do NOT pick one that has self-esteem issues, inferority complexes, two brain cells, or, is possessive, abusive (physically, emotionally, and otherwise), unreasonable, lousy in bed, too good in bed, obsessive, psycho, moronic, in denial, and thus in need of psychoanalytic therapy. When you break up/get married, he will inevitably turn into a bastard ex-boyfriend.
I have yet to encounter a non-bastard ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriends are invasive, keep you emotionally imbalanced so they can keep their options open if they want to get it together with you again, prevent your emotional wounds from healing, invade your space, accuse you of betraying them, ruin your days out with your girlfriends, and in general ruin your life. It does not help if you still have feelings for the bastard. DIE!!!!
If you pick a guy that fits the description above, you may have a good time in bed, some good times out of it, and no good times ever after you break up.
Some guys do not understand the idea of breaking up. To break up means that you no longer have a say in what the other says, does, eats, drinks, interacts, goes out with. Get used to it. Breaking up means that the relationship is NOT working. No matter how many times you've rolled in the hay, regardless of how good it was, the fact remains that the relationship WAS (note: past tense; it's OVER) not working. You want another chance, then fix what WAS wrong. If it's you, then that's just too damn bad, isn't it?
BUT, girls, don't do the same. If he breaks up with you, do NOT turn into the Bitch Ex-girlfriend.
That be bad for your health.
Now, guys, listen up, it's your turn.
If and when you break up with your girlfriend of 4 days/weeks/months/years/decades, be DECENT. If you want a shot at having any kind of relationship after, like a friendship, be decent about things. Breaking up does NOT mean that you will never ever speak to each other again. That smacks of a relationship without closure, and that also says 'Deal with your issues!'
When you break up with this girl, give her space. This does NOT mean ignoring her. It means respecting her, NOT calling every other day, NOT leaving your stuff over at her place, NOT arguing with her, NOT moping in front of her. That is what it means. If you still care for her, show it by giving her space. You CAN ring occasionally, which translates into maybe a couple times a month, not everyday. Don't do the whole 'Now I love you, Now I don't' thing. It does not help, and really makes people like me very, very, very upset.
Post-breakup, the girl will, guess what, do things that and won't tell you about them! Gasp. Shock. The horror, the horror. Sadly enough (for you), this is normal. This is how people get their lives back on track. Deal with it.
Am I being to harsh? I dunno... I'm just really really pissed off.
